A nude shoe is obviously a low contrast shoe. But, not all low contrast shoes are nude. Does it make any difference to the outfit? When would a nude shoe be more desirable than a low contast shoe, like a tan shoe on my pale legs? Is it just personal preference? Or maybe when the outfit is a very colorful one and just a nude shoe that blends in works best? Does a low contrast shoe lengthen the leg line as well as a nude shoe does?
I am wondering because I've found that I don't care for nude shoes on me. My legs are too white and most true nudes are a sand color and so pale that it seems to wash out my white legs further. So, I'm wondering if a tan shoe will serve the same purpose as a nude.
What are your thoughts on the "nude" shoe? Do you find them attractive? Do they need to be a little dressy or have have interesting details? I find them a little drab unless there is some interesting detail to the shoe like a high heel or cut outs or super strappy...you get the idea. Maybe I just need to adjust my eye...
