Nutella is *way* too dangerous to keep in the house.

I actually don't eat that much Nutella considering how much i keep around the house. I like to save it for special occasions

I like thin, lacy-looking crepes Angie.

I guess my one Americanism (or perhaps Canadianism as well) is that I adore maple syrup and will happily put it on my crepes when I'm at home....out of public view...

Michelle, I keep trying to like oatmeal because it's so healthy but breakfast is my favorite meal and the variety of delicious breakfast foods that exist make oatmeal look soooo bland. Hmm, maybe if Nutella was added to it...but I suppose that would defeat the purpose of eating something so healthy...

I like oatmeal! In Dutch we call it "pap". But it has to have lots of sugar in it. Still like small pastries best for breakfast.

What does baking do Khris?

For me it's all about flavor. The things that make oatmeal taste good make it unhealthy...sort of like how some people add a ton of cheese and creamy dressing to a salad.

It changes it from mush into an oatmeal cookie
I won't eat it boiled, but baked it has a crunchier consistency that I love. Yes, you have to add things to make it bake up well, but you can swap those out for healthier versions (soy, rice or almond milk instead of regular cow's milk, applesauce rather than an egg, etc) an you can add whatever flavors you like- vanilla, cinnamon, dried fruit. Oatmeal in and of itself has healthy qualities, no matter what you add to it.
