When Eurochic is style goal, are these the antithesis?

So, if my current style filter has been "simple, elegant, Euro chic", then can anyone help me understand why I'm drawn to these shoes?

I ordered them pre-SYC on Amazon when their price dropped more than 50%, but my return window is ending soon, and I'm questioning myself. . .

Is this one of those 'nagging doubt' moments I should heed? (Oh, Shannon - where are you?)

Because they are fun? I believe that you can do a very elegant and simple look with one stand out item and these shoes might be IT.
Have you tried to style them to see if they work for you? Can we see some pics?

Duh! Styled pics would be a great idea If I'm still on the fence tomorrow, I can get some.

I did take generic foot pics earlier.

I think the shoes are awesome, they look like little sculptures. I think they require for the wearer to have certain "dark" aesthetic to be believable, though. Ironkurtin comes to mind. Is that part of your style?

Good point, Zap! I'm not dark haired, but come fall/winter I'm pretty content in dark and black outfits.

I wish I was more analytical about these things! If I was, I'd get an objective take on how much of my fall/winter wardrobe could handle these *and* how many other shoes/booties overlap with these. . .

not a big fluevog fan, but i think these are you! and i think of euro chic the way the germans or the dutch do it. as minimalist, but with a funky element. so these shoes are in keeping with that element. black but with a texture and a great shape.

I think they would look smashing with the key pieces mentioned in Parisian Chic. I vote keep, besides comfy shoes are a must in European cities!
