What’s fun is the seeing the personalities of these women emerge through their wardrobe choices like Dr.de Villa’s scarves, Dr. Henry’s shoes and necklaces, Dr, Hinshaw’s dresses and cardigans, and Dr. Tam’s exuberantly patterned jackets.
All these amazing women scientists and doctors are communicating statistics and setting policies during a pandemic crisis while making clear they are unique personalities in their own right. The message is coming through loud and clear—females can be remarkable leaders when the going gets tough.
My feverent hope is that the media spotlight on our smart, intelligent, competent female leaders becomes imbedded in the public consciousness.
