I have been stuck at home with a fever, but for a couple of days now, it's been reduced to a hacking cough. So the beautiful weather we had today gave me an opportunity to don on a dress (Got to look cute at Nordstrom!) and return those Ecco tall boots that I had ordered online.

Tried on some flats while I was there. However, as soon as I put on these black, suede Sam Edelman Petty's, there was no turning back!. I've been looking for some black ankle booties for awhile now. Suede was not on my radar, but the quality of these are smooth and comfy. The low heel won me over too. These shoes are double what USED to be my normal price point for shoes, but I've given myself permission and have not regretted it. I wore them out the store!!

So my new shoe shopping guidelines:

1)Shop for shoes at the actual store...no online purchases unless the size was too big at the store.

2)I would rather buy less quality clothes, but always look for quality and comfort on pairs of shoes that I expect to be workhorses.
