What's your view on booties with zipper on the outside?

I was rejecting these as too plain-jane, but then I noticed that the zipper is on the outside. Can't decide if this is a cool detail, or if it would just make me look like I had my shoes on the wrong feet...

Looks fine to me. I certainly wouldn't consider it a deal-breaker if it is a detail that fits with the overall style of the boot.

For example, I have a pair of dressy high-heeled bronze tall boots with zippers on the outside, but the zipper is set at a diagonal, which creates an interesting detail. It's clear that it's intentional.

I love zippers anywhere on a boot - inside, outside, up the front, up the back. It's all good!

I'm a big fan of zippers. I have 2 pairs of boots/shooties with exposed zippers. I think it's a fab detail.

Acne Pistol booties, and various knock-offs, have been everywhere here recently. I succumbed to the trend myself and bought a pair that I have yet to wear. At first I didn't like the non-functional zip on the outside but I have changed my mind!

April, I hope that you will report back on sizing and color. I'm interested to know if the actual boots are as light as they appear online. I've no problem with exposed zippers as long as they don't rub on the foot.

I think the simplicity is very appealing. Are you planning to wear these with skirts and trousers April? If trousers only the outside zipper would not be seen.
