Ebay is usually a great place to sell used designer items, despite what people say. But I have a problem. Even though ebay always has fake versions of every designer item imaginable, sometimes one particular fake item becomes so popular that it becomes impossible to sell the real thing for a reasonable price. I am trying to sell 3 pairs of paige laurel canyon jeans that are in perfect mint condition, but do not fit me. Until VERYrecently it was impossible to find these $180-$200 jeans on ebay for less then $100, but unfortunately for me, thecounterfeiters have completely flooded ebay with $20- $50 fakes. I usually don't mind, but it is now impossible to sell this one particular style of jean for a good price. Most other designer jeans are still easy to sell for a decent price. What do I do? Are consignment stores worth it? What about craigslist? What percentage of the purchase price I originally paid, should I expect to make back? I should add that I actually bought all of them at steep discount, but I bought them from nordtsroms, blue fly, etc., not ebay. So they are all 100% genuine.
