What's my size?

I wear a size 0 in Ann Taylor Loft pants. How does that convert to sizes like premium jeans are sized...26 and so forth?

Hi KH, and welcome.

I'm afraid that isn't a super straight-forward question to answer, though that's not to say some peoplee on this forum won't have equivalent experiences to share. Sizing differs at every store, and I'm not sure what ATL's measurements are like relative to other brands. With jeans, though, it's more of a direct measurement. If you know your waist or hip measurement in inches, that will be most effective for determining the size of premium denim you need. Like I said, though, I defer to Angie and others for true expert input.

Some denim brands are cut smaller than others, but you are probably looking at a size 25 or 26 in premium denim.

I think it depends on how large your hips are relative to your waist. I find that jeans that go by a waist number don't fit well if one has a low waist to hip ratio. So, if your figure is straighter you might be able to pick a number that's close to your actual waist size, but if you are curvy, you will need to pick a number several inches larger than your actual waist.
