What's my body type ?

Hello everyone,

I'm posting here because I can't figure out what my body type is. Some people told me I had a V-shape body, some said X. I've been also told that I was a rectangle.

Could help me please ?

Bust 35'
Waist 26'
Hips 40'
Height : 5'9

I am going with X or pretty pear. You have a high/short waist/long rise, and a square shoulder line, but I think your hips and waist shape are not narrow as I'd expect with a V.

You can mainly take tips for X's, 8's or pears, but with a "modifier" around your shoulders being more square than typical with an 8 or a pear.

If I were you I'd read through all the tips and take the ones that seem to apply to your shape to make your own, custom, shape tips.

And then, of course, there are your own personal preferences that should also be layered on top. If you love a silhouette or garment then I beleive that overrides any "shape rules".

I vote X. Although your shoulders are slightly wider than your hips, you have a very well-defined waist, which is not typical of a V. The overall effect is one of balance.
