What would this type of dress do to "my girls?"

When I had my son (18 months) my girls grew from a 34B to a 34 DD and they've stayed in the D/DD area. I'm working on wearing v-necks & similar so they don't look even bigger or uni-boobish. I'm fining a lot of tops & dresses with details similar to this one and am wondering what they will do to the girls. Will the v-neck minimize them enough for this type of detailing or should I just stay away?

Necklines like that are trial and error. If they are cut full enough, they can be very flattering. If they are a smidge too deep, you can always layer over a cami, or they just might be too small. You just have to try and see.

Oh, this looks very nice. The floral patterns aren't my favourite thing, but I like the style.

In my opinion, 34D/DD is NOT a size that needs minimizing. Honestly. I usually wear 32G, which is way bigger than 34DD.

The dress is lovely and it seems very flattering!
The V-neck allongates the neck. It's a flattering cut!

I am a fellow 32/34DD and I would wear that dress. I think it would be very flattering. The v-neck is very slimming and I dont' see that extra detail adding anything as it's in the same print as the rest of the dress.

I have bigger boobage and I would definitely wear something like this. I've actually found that a print can help minimize the girls' massiveness.

V-necks are generally better for bigger busts. I actually think that dress could work really well, since the fabric is cotton and not a clingy knit!

I'm in the same range, and it looks lovely -- that's the kind of neckline I wear often. I would guess that you would need a cami under it, though, which is not that big a deal.

I have no right to be commenting here, as a woman who only had breasts while nursing DS (oh, how I miss those days of boobage!)... But I think you have to try it to know for sure. The uni-boob is a bad look, but I think the divide and conquer look is equally disturbing (when they're completely separated and surrounded by seams such that they become divided lethal weapons capable of taking people of the right height out of commission).

I think this would look great! My problem with dresses like this is that the v is usually too low and I end up having to wear a cami and the extra layer feels cumbersome, especially in a summer dress. I suck it up and do it anyway but just something to keep in mind.

I'm a D cup and bought a dress very like this for the summer. I wear it with a cami, but have to say I didn't find it a problem (a year ago I would never have bought something that needed a cami on most occasions).

Yep -- Mae took the words out of my mouth: "divide and conquer." I find that certain tops with that twist in the middle tend to make it look like you're wearing each breast as an individually packaged item. Some of the Sweet Peas that didn't last long in my closet had that effect.

It does seem to have something to do with the amount of fabric involved in the bodice, so the only way to know for sure is to try it on.

You'll have to try it. Like Itari, I'm a 32g, and while I avoid the uni-boob look whenever possible, I also find that this style of dress can be equally troubling, even with a cami. I really like the dress, though, and you are substantially smaller-busted than I am, so I say go for it!
