A number of years ago, Angie's personal salad dressing recipe became a staple at my house, so I don't rule YLF out as a place to get good cooking ideas.

Anyone make anything in 2013 that became a household favorite?

I cook pretty much every night and am always looking for good new things. And I don't eat meat but DS and SO do, so I'm also always looking for vegetarian dishes that are delicious for everyone, not just for the herbivores.

This year, the best things I started making were Cauliflower Risotto (no grain) and Seitan Piccata. I make the risotto with lemon juice and lemon zest instead of the vinegar, and a scatter of shredded Parmesan on top.
