I was leafing through my copy of What to Wear, Where, a book I like because it lists occasions on which to wear what, and these occasions are adapted to our modern lives: Barbecue, Beach and Pool, Cold Weather, Rainy Weather, Errands, Dog Park, Farmers Market... all circumstance my brain would initially classify as "casual", but, as one reads on, have their own special demands in terms of dressing.

Let's do a thread on "occasions". Maybe we could put ours in common and from there, get even more dressing ideas and inspiration adapted to our daily lives.

What are your activities on a daily basis? Put samples of everything, down to the quick Target shopping trip. We'll brainstorm. Nothing is too crazy nor relaxed! Don't censure yourself!

Here is my list, from the top of my head, in my current life:

Teaching at the college (casual, jeans allowed);
Corporate language training in down-town offices (corporate, no jeans);
Departmental reunion (50 pple);
Bringing my son to the orthodontist, doctor, etc;
Going to the gym;
Food shopping;
Clothes shopping;
Commuting to and from work;
Dining out with a friend;
Taking long walks;
Riding bicycle around town;
Cleaning my house;
Dance class;
Concert;
Play (by students);
Meet the Teachers night;
Meeting with the landlord;
Gardening...
