What to wear with this holiday blouse?

I just purchased this top last night at White House Black Market. I was thinking to wear it with black pants (cropped) and strappy heels, for holiday parties. Do you think that would look good?

I'm wondering about a necklace though. I don't really have much in way of long necklaces, but wondering if it needs one? I don't wear gold, so that's definitely out. Any thoughts?

If you look at the different views, you'll see there are cut-outs on the sleeves. I hope that's okay for a (young) 43!!!

I don't think it needs a necklace: all the details--burnout pattern, underlayer line and cutouts-- are enough to my eye. A pair of great earrings would work better, IMO.

ETA: I think it will look fab with black cropped pants and the cutouts are elegant.

Not a necklace and not the one you are showing for sure.
What this needs is a nice golden cuff. Marciano has some nice ones.

Thanks krishnidoux. That is pretty, but the blouse does fall really low on the wrist, so I feel like any bracelet would get swallowed and hidden. And I actually LOVE bracelets.

Sparkly long necklace BUT only if you wanted to add sparkle to your outfit. But the pattern in the top is so pretty it does not need anything. Sparkly earrings would add a little sparkle.

Thank you all for the wonderful advice! Perhaps I'll try it on with the pants and shoes and take a picture to post, so that you can all let me know if it's good enough on its own I'll try that for tonight or tomorrow!

I agree - this is lovely and I think it will look wonderful with black pants. I would wear dangly sparkly earrings with it.

I don't have pierced ears so have trouble finding dangly earrings let alone having the nerve to wear (clip-on) but if you do, then sparkle earrings sounds perfect. And clutch can dress it up more or less. A sleek black clutch if going more casual, or a bit of sparkle or pearl if glamming up more.

I'm 42 and would definitely wear this!

I agree with the others that the blouse itself is so interesting that adding a necklace would be distracting. I would try other accessories, as mentioned. I think it would look great with some skinny black pants.
