What to wear with corduroy skirt?

I bought a cute skirt at Banana Republic this weekend and was wondering what to wear with it? I have tall black boots. What color tights would you pair it with? Thanks for your help!

I tend to keep my hose or leggings the same colour as the boots I'm wearing.
As for tops, I'm with QueenMum in wanting to know more about the colour of the skirt you purchased.

I agree with Michelle. Match tights to the boots, so black or maybe charcoal.

I think black, brown, and maybe dark gray would all work. Dark muted colors could work too. What color tights do you already have?

You can match your tights to your boots and make them black but in this case I would repeat black color somewhere else in your outfit to balance out the dark bottom part against the light skirt.

nice funky skirt. I would wear black tights with them. But as others have said, grey and brown would also look good.

This is my first fashion question to the forum so thanks for the input everyone, I appreciate it!
Would Black on top be too much black? What I think I'll go with is black tights/boots and a dark purple top. If I think of it I'll post a picture tomorrow.

A little shy about uploading a pic but here it goes...
I took this pic with my iMac photobooth so the quality/color isn't the best. I ended up wearing brown tights/boots and the cardigan is a plum color. Should I have gone with a more coloful/brighter top?

I love the plum cardigan with that skirt. A deep red or teal cardigan, worn over a black tee or turtleneck, black tights and black ballet flats would be cute too.

dh.. that's a perfect way to wear your skirt. I agree with Sveta that you need the darker top half to "bookend" with the black tights and boots... you did great!

That looks great! I like that it's not totally black on top. I second Barbara's other color choices to wear over the black cami or tee. You look lovely! I envy your waist! I want one of those too--LOL!
