I would almost do a wide leg high waisted trouser or jean, but that's me trying to balance a wide shoulder with small calves + create a sort of narrowing in the middle.

Dark wash jeans in a looser fit, maybe?

I agree with the wide leg and high waist. Also, I think it is important that they also have some movement.

I envy your ability to wear this top. Wide cropped bottoms would look great, or bell bottoms with a pointy toed flat or heel. They would also give volume and movement
