I've never been to the ballet before, aside from local performances of the Nutcracker during the holidays. But tomorrow I've got tickets for the Washington Ballet at the Kennedy Center. However, it's for the mid-afternoon matinee showing.

What would you wear? If it was the evening I would probably wear a cocktail dress and be done with it but are matinee showings less dressy? Also, it might snow tomorrow, so that will probably limit my options somewhat. Thanks!
