What to wear to see RENT? / On being RATE / ETA WIW pic

I got these shoes at Target. Being RATE, I dented them a bit with the scissors while cutting the tags. I don't think anyone can see the dent, but I'll bet it nonetheless somehow contributes to my overall helter skelter aura. I'm trusting that having done this, nothing worse can happen to these shoes.

ANYWAYS, my best friend is making me see the musical Rent again. I am going to be social, but I really have a hard time sitting for hours in the dark these days. I'm antsy just thinking about it.

Ok ok. ANYWAYS. I intend to wear the silver shoes. Any last minutes suggestions as to pants/skirt? Should I wear my new Army green coat? Should I even bother to change from my office clothes?

OMG I so relate.... I cut my daughter's cute lampshade when I (finally) removed the plastic, and cut into the curtains I was trying to hem with tape, above the hem line... I try to be happy I didn't cut myself, which I also used to do with some frequency!

A black skirt, black leather jacket, red clutch and these pumps. Your shirt could either be a RATE tee or a button down. The skirt should be a pencil skirt or a mini or a flirty short skirt.

Of course the event is already over but Anna having felt no one provides outfit ideas, I thought I'd get cracking. (She has a point.)

I would go for a white button down shirt and cropped boyfriend black pants! Gorgeous shoes!!

I bet I'm late, but I hope you had a good time! I always dent and scuff my shoes, too. Helps when they come pre-distressed. I have a hard time sitting in the dark, too. Excited to see what you ended up pairing with those cool heels!

I Have Returned The production turned out to be quite good, woke me up. And then we drove back through no-mans land, the deepest darkest ghetto. Worse than ghetto. Positively apocalyptic. All the freeway entrances were closed, and I had to wonder if they did it on purpose. It was very interesting.

Anyways, attached is a pic of what I wore. I also wore my new coat. With Caro's and Tina's votes for a skirt, I went with a skirt (the JC Penny pin stripe) and a round-hem aqua blouse (Target) to go with the citron sweater and silver shoes. I need another one of these in white/ivory.

It's a shame I couldn't do more than one outfit for the event, because I love the idea of black skirt/black leather jacket/red clutch and a white button down shirt/cropped boyfriend black pants. Great ideas Denise, Rute. These shoes may see two other outings yet ;>

I like the aqua blouse with the yellow sweater! Nice choices... and I will look to see the red clutch and BF pants outfits make some other outings. Love the shoes and musings on RATEness.... Gotta wonder about that freeway entrance thing, interesting....
