my bf's brother and his fiance are marrying this spring (april-may). it will be a formal outdoor evening wedding at a winery. the reception will be indoors.

one of the future sister-in-law's and i were trying to decide what to wear. she recently bought an ann taylor loft dress in a bright fuschia/salmon color (without the neckline beading), like this:

she is petite (~5'2"), an hourglass shape with fair skin/blonde hair/hazel eyes. the dress fits her over the knee. she is also a mother of two young children, which makes shopping trips very challenging and infrequent.

could this dress be dressed up enough for a formal evening spring wedding (if so, how), or should i suggest she keep her eyes open for something else?

i haven't a clue what to wear myself, but i wanted to help her out first--with your keen suggestions, of course
