What to wear to a weekend job interview?

Help please! I have a job interview set for Saturday, and I'm wondering if I need to wear a suit or not. I'm seeing two people (I think they're both guys) who are flying into town just before meeting me, and then are headed to the company holiday party. They want to meet at a restaurant, which is a pretty casual establishment. During the work-week, it'd be a business-suit establishment, but no one would bat an eyelash at someone in jeans. The job I'm interviewing for is a law/news writing gig, so it's not exactly a creative field. I'm not a suit person, and this isn't exactly a conventional interview, but I'd hate to be under-dressed in comparison to the people I'm meeting. So err on the side of caution with the suit? If nay, what else might be appropriate?

I can't speak to the field you are interviewing for, but I once interviewed with Southwest Airlines and it ended up to be poolside in Seattle (weird) and I still wore a charcoal gray skirt suit. I wonder if sometimes the setting is to get you to let your guard down unwittingly?

I'd wear a suit or a dress just to be on the safe side.

I'd err on the side of caution and wear a suit. At the very least, a conservative type dress.

Do you have a gray/navy/black sheath dress? Or something that is corporate but not a suit? If you would feel comfortable in ameeting with client's or your boss' boss it should be ok for this situation.

I would stay very conservative and formal but maybe relax on the suit.

ETA: Maybe the suit pants or skirt & an appropriate top but ditch the jacket?

Thanks all! The person I'm meeting contacted me again and said no suit necessary because they subscribe to "LA style" (as in Los Angeles, not Louisiana). I'm guessing that means pretty casual, but I'd still like to kick it up a notch. Would this be appropriate?

Can't see the photo. I would still wear something similar to a suit -- maybe non-matching pants and jacket with an amazing blouse and shoes.

I agree, I would still wear a jacket at least. It'll look professional but a little more relaxed.

I'm trying to figure out what went wrong with my attempt at photo posting, I think I fixed it.

So y'all think blazer, not cardigan? And pants, not dress/skirt?

A blazer over dress maybe? Or a cardigan over a button down? I think a cardigan over a dress is a just a tiny bit too casual. I'd rather be overdressed than under, but you know the situation best.

I like your outfit but I might take it up one more notch. But I'm the person who (years ago) showed up to an interview in a suit and found the interviewer waiting for me in a Hawaiian shirt.
