My husband's work holiday party is at an upscale restaurant. Here are the options...

1-3: Dress, Blazer & Pumps
I know the back looks wrinkly in 1 - I would wear a cami underneath for smoothing. I could also swap out the blazer for a Cardigan.

Blue A-Line Dress w/V Back - Modcloth
Black Blazer - Rickis
Diamond Patterned Tights - Rickis
Pumps - Nine West

4-5: Little Shiny Pants
I bought these pants literally the day I read Angie's LSP blog post... Love the lace print!

Lace Print Slim Pants - RW&Co
Burgundy Sweater - Rickis (will wear a black cami underneath IRL)
Pumps - Nine West

6-9: Colorblock top and Teal Pencil skirt
I don't know if I like this better tucked or untucked. Maybe untucked and belted?

Colorblock top - Rickis
Teal Skirt - Rickis
Peep Toe Heels - Nine West
Diamond Patterned Tights - Rickis

I am totally open to other combinations of these items... swapping the shoes, the colorblock top with the pants, or the blazer over the sweater maybe? What do you think?

Good outfit options!
I like the dresses better for what you describe as an "upscaler" restaurant. You look dressier and more special-occasion in them.

I like the idea of black hose and think you could even consider a more sheet black with those dresses with heels. With the solid blue dress, a tiny pattern sheer black would be good and break up the solidness of the blue/black.

Do you have a bit of sparkle or shine in some dressy accessories? That would add to the party/holiday vibe.

I really love that first dress, although the outfit is begging for just a touch of holiday sparkle somewhere. And do you have a jacket that wouldn't look at home in the office? Or a sparkly cardigan? Something to play into the femininity of the dress.

The pants are so much fun, and with the high heels could be doable. In that case though, you would need more than a little glitz or sparkle to make them look fancy enough for the restaurant and a party.

The colour-blocking is fun, but doesn't quite strike the party note for me.

Regardless, you look fantastic in all of them.

I like the color blocked top with the pencil the best. Can you pop the jacket over the tucked version? It looks like a sheath dress to me. It looks very elegant. I don't think you could go wrong with any of these though.

I can't decide between the dress in 1-2 or the color blocked top skirt combo. I agree with Kelly, the jacket would work nicely over the color blocked tucked version, at first glance I thought it was a sheath dress! I think I might have a slight preference for the 1st option, add a festive clutch and jewelry and you will be good to go.

I like the idea of #1 with a lighter (more sheer black) hose, so it's not quite so bottom heavy. And maybe add some bling?

I love the dress in outfit #1 but find the blazer to be a little long for it. I do like the colour blocked top and skirt combo but am wondering if you will be chilly?

You look fab in that blue dress. It's a great color for you. I agree with JR that the outfit could use some sparkle. A belt would be great for that and would give some emphasis to your waist when you are wearing your jacket. Also, I agree about the hosiery -- sheer off-black might be a better choice. Have a great time at the party!

I really like the dress in #1, and I think it would look beautiful on you with a chunky pearl necklace or other statement-y necklace, along with lighter coloured hose (nude microfishnets, perhaps?). Throw in a blingy clutch and you're set.

You look killer in all these, but would like the first dress with the peep toe sandals, which are K"K, and will instantly give an edge to a clasic outfit! Throw on a sparkle something (necklace, earings, bangles, cardi, scarf or jacket) and you're good to go!:-)

These are all lovely. I think for the restaurant I would go with #1 or # 6. #1 would look good with a more sheer hose. The black jacket is lovely however I think a necklace would be a niece addition.

I'm in the minority for preferring the patterned jeans (there's a luxurious feel to the lacy pattern, to my eye), though I'd like to see a little sparkle added for the festivity --- a necklace or pin, a sparkly clutch... Doesn't have to be sequins; even pearls and satin would work.

My second choice would be the dress, but with a cardigan or wrap that decidedly isn't office-friendly, as JR said. Patterned tights, if you have some, might dress it up further too. What bag were you thinking?

The colour-blocked outfit is very smart, but does not say 'evening' or 'holiday' to me. It IS evening, right?

ETA: Unlike the dress, the jeans might work quite well with the blazer because the jeans themselves are so prettily patterned. Just add a pretty top underneath and you're set---something silky or with a sheen, or in a jewel hue, would be brilliant.

Just wanted to say that the LSP outfit in 4-5 does look good and I hope you'll have another opportunity to wear it - I vote for the colour block outfit for this party - your figure looks amazing in it. Perhaps with the black blazer, as per the other's suggestions.

I love the jeans - wow!! And really like Mani's idea to try them with a blazer and a little bling.

I vote for the color blocked outfit with the shirt tucked in and the addition of a blingy statement necklace. I'm thinking a bib type necklace would be really nice. Though I voted for that outfit, I think they're all lovely.

I lean the same way Manidipa does - I like the pretty patterned jeans and sweater the best for the party. Don't get me wrong - I think all the outfits look great, and you look wonderful in all of them, but I do think the red sweater and the lace pattern of the jeans are the most holiday-like ensemble. I also think Mani's right about the blazer workign well with this outfit. For a holiday party at an upscale restaurant, it does call for a little more bling - do you have a pendant necklace? I am also thinking that a scarf pinned with a shiny brooch might also do the trick.

Good luck choosing your outfit - I really don't think you can go wrong! Have fun at the party.

Thank you so much for lending me your eyes! I remembered reading through these that I have been holding on to a black cardigan with matte sequins that would probably be good over the dress or top/skirt.

My husband and some of his coworkers decided to suit up for the event so I think that makes the sweater and lace print jeans too casual, no? I will definitely get another chance to wear them to a friends' christmas party next weekend, though! I love those pants.

That leaves the Dress or Top and Skirt. DH mentioned when he got home yesterday that some folks might be headed to a local bar/bowling alley after, and I think a non-zero chance of bowling rules out the pencil skirt,...

Will get hubs to snap a pic or two before we leave

Oh, that is so like guys! Dress up for the upscale restaurant and then let's go BOWLING! They can take off jackets & ties and roll up sleeves.
Hmmm ... Got to work on that capsule.

Oh, these are some beautiful options. I would have gone for the dress or skirt with the matte sequin cardi, but then *bowling* gets thrown into the mix? Men. Don't they understand?
