A very good friend who currently lives in Europe will be in town for a couple of days, and we are doing a little special evening out tomorrow, which I am super excited for . The issue is that we have two activities one after the other, with very different dress requirements, and I am not quite sure what to wear.
The first activity is a double-length visit to the local cat cafe, which is a pretty casual affair, involving mostly playing with cats/sitting on the floor. So nothing very dark (cat hair!) or very light (sitting on the floor), and likely no skirts/dresses either for the ease of movement.
The follow-up activity is dinner at a pretty upscale restaurant, where people tend to dress up. I have not been to that particular one before and am excited to. Their website says "Jacket recommended", which I assume applies to men. I don't think they would not let you in in jeans, but they would be probably frowned upon.
The weather is going to be pretty warm, 77 F/ 25 C. I can happily put together an outfit for each occasion separately, but something that works for both has me at a loss. I am guessing my only bottom option are trousers, in some medium color? Perhaps I should bring a fancy blazer for dinner only? Supposedly their AC can be quite strong. All the input greatly appreciated.
