What to wear, dive bar karoke?

I'm meeting a goup up Friday night at a dive bar that has karoke. I will NOT be singing. Suggestions on what to wear?

ETA, jeans, leather pants, leather leggings?

Dive bar! If an American dive bar is in the same league as a British one I would go with items which are easy to launder and which you do not mind having corona spilt on. How about building a look around your brocade skinnies?

I'd go more with jeans or other pants that can be laundered easily. And same with tops. I'm not sure how the dive bars are in your neck of the woods, but the ones I've been in have been fairly smoke filled.

A cute top, jacket and earrings could round everything off.

Kristen, that is funny. i used to bemoan smoke filled pubs and then the smoking was banned and.... the people... they can smell far worse

Would it be OTT with my fireworks moto. Smoking is banned in Washington state so danger there.

This is an occasion when you can let your Inner Diva come out and play. For example, my friend routinely wears sparkle shorts and fishnets to karaoke. The jacket looks perfect! Have fun.

I'd just be careful about having nice items getting trashed or stolen, depending on how dive-y the bar actually is. But OTT is always great for karaoke

Speaking as someone who lives in a city with, ahem, many dive bars I think jeans would be your best bet. Jeans with a fun top half (that moto would totally work!). That way, if/when beer gets spilled on you, since it most often goes to pants you'll be able to launder easily. If you have great reaction time and can avoid the spillage, I think the silver S&B skinnies sound like a better option than the brocade.

Well I actually know someone who owns a dive bar with karaoke in Seattle and I have been to more than one in my day. Of course being a total introvert, I have never, ever participated. All I can say is no matter what you will wear you will be better dressed than most people there. But plaid is the image that comes to mind - your Isabel Marant cowboy outfit?
