What to wear dancing?

It may not happen because my Dad isn't doing that great right now. But I signed up to go to a dance club with a group Saturday night. It's at a casino east of Seattle (Snoqualmie for the locals). There is a dress code. I need to wear flats so I can actually dance.
What should I wear? Leather leggings?

Would that be standard disco or swing?

I like the idea of a variation on your evening 1/19 look that you wore out (as featured in your blog). The jacket may make you a little hot if you are totally dancing up a storm, but I think the blouse, booties, tight pants and bold necklace are a winner! Can you work with something like this as a start?

Wow, that's like the dress code at our roller skating rink, which is to keep gangs from wearing insignia. Hmmm.... you have so much cute stuff I don't know what to choose.

Dancing makes places HOT. I vote for a mini with your flats. Bring sometjing to throw over when you leave.

Ooh yes i like. What kind of top is under there? Depending on how much you like to get down and funky a tank could be beneficial for sweat reasons.

I was wearing a black button down tuxedo shirt. I have a sleeveless LAMB shirt in black that has this hybrid hood/cowl thing going on. It's t-shirt material so easily launderable. Plus I think they allow smoking in the casino, ugh.

How fun! Though the leather leggings would look great for dancing I fear they would be too sweat inducing. I really like the outfit with the mini! Definitely minus the blazer and maybe even short or no sleeve. But I run super hot.

The IM boots are perfect for dancing. Hopefully they are not suede though. Whenever I go dancing (which isn't too often) I'm a magnet for getting getting drinks spilled on me. Have a great time!

I like a little heel and smooth soles for dancing. Flats with a smooth sole would work too. How about a jersey wrap dress? Comfort, movement, and good for preventing too much sweatiness.

Oh yeah I know that club! That whole casino is dressier than Tulalip FWIW (at least when we used to go there before moving up north; we used to chill at the cigar bar). I really like the outfit you linked, and wearing flats with the sequined skirt will look much more unexpected than heels anyway

I love a flippy skirt when I can find one. But the short straight skirt and tights would.be great and better than leather pants I think. s
since I am not midriff person I like to wear tops.that are either longish knit or boxy and just long enough- the one stays down and the other slides. I try to avoid tops that will ride up and get stuck above my waist whenever I raise my arms.

Don't wear anything that can't breathe! Dancing gets sweaty!

Here dancing in casino clubs is common, and I like lower heels if possible myself. I also realized my leather look top got hot fast on my Sunday night out. Comfort, while still feeling sassy, is the best thing to aim for IMO.

Okay how about this? I have black ponte leggings that have a leather strip down the side. I have a rarely worn but awesome dark green strong shouldered sleeveless tunic and black ankle boots.
My dad is feeling better because tonight he stole some of my Anejo fancypants tequila out of my glass.

Yes the dress code is written to keep young males away who want to stir things up. They drive up from the Valley and visit our local casino too.

I like your idea. I was going to say do a leather leggings outfit but sub the leather for skinnys / leggings etc. I like the sound of the tunic, sounds comfortable and will move. You could do either the ankle boots or the IM wedge sneakers for comfort.
