I've had these for a couple of years (maybe 3?). They are very casual but potentially useful if I could figure this out. I like the color too. My conflicting feelings about my legs probably gets in the way of me really seeing what looks best.
The fit on these is kind of boyfriend-y. They stretch out with wear, and in the hot summer, a loose fit might be better anyway. But the hem of these bothers me. It flares out slightly and ends just below the knee. I think the length is not bad on me, but the flare annoys me. Does it bother your eye or is it just me?
I've shown them here full length (1-2) , rolled (4), and folded up to two slightly different lengths to give an idea how they would look if I had them hemmed (3, 5). Rolling shorts is not ideal fore because my thighs are thick and rolling tends to make the shorts stick to my thighs, so I have to yank them down when I stand up, unless they loosen enough with wear.
Pic 7 shows the way the shorts are currently hemmed -- it's a lot of fabric, but not suitable to be let down to a longer length because of the fading around the stitching.
Ignore lack of styling. Just a tee and flat sandals, but I don't want to have to rely on heels to make these look better on me. And my hair is frightful! But I'm about to go for a bike ride.
Bonus shot of my favorite old knock-around butterfly-print sandals. I love these and wish they weren't getting beat up!
What do you think? Are these worth working with? What length do you think is working best on me?
