I took a quick look through my jean collection the other night and tried a bunch of stuff on. It wasn't too traumatic, despite the fact that I'm carrying a bit more weight right now.

I put one pair in the pile to take to the tailor -- they're just a smidge too long and drag on the ground. And two pairs I pulled aside because I'm not quite sure what to do with them.

One pair is some old Paige skinnies that are either going into my "grungy" pile or my ranch capsule -- however, I was thinking I might pick the hems first and see if I could get a bit more life out of them with a raw hem. What do you think? They're a little short anyway.

Then there are these jeans, pictured. These are AG Nikkis. They were a bit more boyfriend-y on me before but now fit like normal jeans (although they stretch with wear so what you see here is more snug than how they would typically look.

One of my frustrations with these jeans is the closeness of the fit in the calves and ankles -- I can only roll them slightly. That suffices, I suppose, but I just don't remember wearing them a lot this past spring.

Can I make these more current somehow? Is there some hack I should do, or should I just stick with a small roll and booties?

One of my other two pairs of BF jeans became clamdigger length shorts. And the other is a pair of distressed, ripped AG's that I wear for ultracasual days. I'm glad I didn't invest too heavily in BF styles because they didn't speak to me that strongly, but if there is a good way to work with these jeans to make them more current, I'm all ears .
