I keep seeing items, especially cardigans, described as "edge to edge", but I can't seem to find a description of what this means. Most of the things I have seen described in this way are on ebay, so I can't see the items in person to figure out what the common features are. They seem to be all kinds of different styles and fabrics, so I'm at a loss.

Can someone point me to a good explanation?
