What size sweater?

This is a cotton sweater from the Uniqlo U collection. I love its oversized slouch but I can't decide which size to keep. Leaning towards the larger (first two photos). I lightened the photos to make it easier to see. I imagine the little bumps at the shoulder seams will settle down once I wear it.

I should decide today, but I'm just not sure. Opinions welcome!

Hi Greyscale I like the size in pics 3 and 4 much better, think that's the smaller size. Mind you I'm not a fan of over-sized so my taste is showing through in this reply, and since your and my taste may be polar opposites that may not help! I love your taste for you, you look so cool in all your black!

I like the bigger size, to my eyes the body of it is more proportional to the sleeves.

I like both. The smaller size is more of a cropped type sweater. The larger one is more oversized which is what you are looking for.

Larger size for sure. The other one looks great too, but it's not hitting the oversized/slouchy mark.

I like Irina's observation. You could wear either, but the sleeves remain a bit slouchy so I think the first is better. Is it cotton? Because even if you baby it, it may shrink a bit so # 1 would give you some leeway.

Thanks, everyone. I guess really either size would be ok in different ways, which might be why it was so hard to choose.

I decided to keep the larger one -- if only because these are my highest-rise jeans and the smaller one still leaves a bit of midriff.

I would vote for the smaller size, which shows off your trim figure, but both look good on you. And what a pretty room!

I like the extra slouchy sleeves of the oversized. Glad you went that route. (I love every photo that shows a glimpse of your home. It's AMAZING. Feels so young urban chic and perfect for you.)

Viva and Elpgal, thanks! My partner actually gets credit for the decor. He moved to the east coast for his first faculty job in 2010 and he was excited to finally make a decent salary (after a decade of grad school etc). So he bought really neat furniture. Then he moved back here a few years ago and we merged our stuff again.

The couch is Blu Dot, coffee table is CB2, little metal table is Room & Board via Craigslist, and the geometric plywood thingy in the left of the photos is an art piece a friend made.
