What Shoes Should I Wear

I bought a gorgeous old vintage 1950's dress for homecoming. I was concerned because it's longer than the average homecoming dress, but I decided to just wear heels. The only problem is, now I'm stuck! What shoes (with a heel, preferably, unless they're really super cute) should I wear with my dress?! (BTW the link for pics of the dress is below.)

stunning dress and you look abit 'rock n roll' bare foot not helpful or practical I know but ditto what suz said.

If not pumps, what about strappy metallic sandals? My vote would be for rose gold. Don't go too high, otherwise you will end up kicking them off and either carrying them all night or possibly losing them. With no shoes, someone, including you, is apt to step on the hem and rip the dress.

If you want to stay true to the 50's. have satin pumps dyed to match the color of the dress, or just wear ivory satin pumps. Bridal shops probably have them and I think I've seen them at DSW.
My dad taught highschool in the 50's and he and Mom often went to proms. She always had shoes dyed to match her dress.

Abigail, your dress is beautiful! I like the idea of strappy metallic sandals with it. My daughter wore these Kenneth Cole Reaction sandals with a long vintage dress to a wedding this past spring. They are a soft gold and look lovely on.
