What season is CP Mary of Denmark?

I thought a variant of winter, but she wears a lot of muddy brownish colors. I can't tell if I don't like them because I don't think they're her colors, or because I just don't like muddy browns and beiges. I think she looks fabulous in burgundy, whites, navies, and blacks. What do you think?

And then, too, sometimes lipstick or a necklace--something near one's face--can make a non-color completely wearable. So I suppose one shouldn't automatically discount a color. Are there any guidelines to this point?

Princess Mary of Denmark has brown hair and eyes, but she does not have a cool undertone to her biege skin. Warm neutrals actually suit her quite well. To make a less than flattering color wearable near your face, you can incorporate it into a pattern with more flattering colors.

I always thought she was a pretty classic Winter; but this may be a case where we need to see a lot of pictures. I've never liked her in the warm neutrals but that may be my own bias showing, just like you, em.

It may be best to focus on her formal wear, since it tends to be the most carefully chosen and expensive. It's often navy, burgundy/wine (to go with the ruby parure or her garnets), and other similar colors. She's also worn gold, IIRC. Though that was for New Years, and so in artificial light, and very hard to judge how it actually looks with her natural skin tones. Daywear, especially more casual, can be more experimental and less focused on her very "best" colors.

I would say she is a tonal "deep" .. she looks amazing in navy and burgundy as has been noted, and I think she could do most deep saturated colours, warm or cool.

I think makeup makes such a huge difference ... For example, I don't love her in beige, but I think it would look exponentially better on her with a rich wine lipstick, for example. Scarves and jewelery can make a similar difference.

I agree that she looks like a "deep" season variety. And I honestly think she somehow manages to look great in about anything,

However, em, I wonder why you ask. Is it because your own colouring is similar to hers? (There is no info in your profile ...)

She does not look best in black, and doesn't have high contrast in her features, so I would say not a winter and rather a deep autumn (but what do I know!).
