What item can you not stop buying?

For me it's white shirts. I don't know why. I have several white shirts and still head directly to the white shirts when I'm shopping and have to force myself to walk away. I love color too, but I'm like a school girl with a crush when white shirts are within range. Lots of infatuated sighing on my part.

I have sort of fallen love with faux leather jackets. I went frim originally owning a gray one to recently adding a cognac one and a red one. Now I found a navy one and a dark bark colored one so in a week or so I will own 5! I guess I just like jackets a whole lot!

Only one??? It was coats but I feel I do have enough coats of every "stripe" and I've
soured on trenches, so I try to avoid those now, too. Though at the thrift store where I shop, they keep leading me practically by the hand to animal print toppers and I have
succumbed twice now.

I also have a weakness for blazers/third pieces and swear I won't get any more (and
do purge what I have) but I can't resist looking.

Scarves! I own a ton already, but they are such an easy pick-me-up.

This will come as no surprise, but I have a hard time turning down a fab jacket, pair of boots, or sandals. Too bad its not something inexpensive like socks. Good thing I get a lot of use out of all of them!

Cocktail dresses and formal gowns. They're so pretty and very easy to thrift so I have more than I could ever wear. That and I maybe attend a glitzy event once a year, they never get worn. I wish I was addicted to denim jackets or something more useful.

Boots. I think I have more pairs of boots than all other shoes put together. And I still want more.

And yarn for knitting. It needs to be knit into clothing before it can be worn, and I definitely acquire it at a rate that far exceeds the rate at which I can knit it.

I think I go in runs. Years back it was floral dresses. Then cropped blazers. Last year or two it seemed fancy tank tops (not the basic ribbed underlayer type) were all I could look for. Not sure right now - I think I'm actually evening out to fill holes. Wow - what a wonderful thing!

This is terrible, but I cannot stop buying black sweaters! I don't do this in late spring or during the summer, but the rest of the year, I end up with an ever-increasing number of black sweaters. Turtlenecks, v-necks, wrap sweaters, cardigans etc. I need to get out of this rut

Meanwhile, at this time of year and throughout most of the summer, I buy way too many shoes and sandals. Here - I need to be pickier and buy only the really good shoes, instead of snapping up sandals and summer shoes just because they're on sale.

Last fall/winter, it was coats and skinny jeans. Now, it's dresses (I especially adore patterned dresses). I have enough to wear for an entire month without repeating, but it doesn't stop me from wanting more!

Boots and it is really getting out of control. I need to find something else to obsess about. I'm leaning towards dresses, specifically shirtdresses.

I completely understand the white shirt attraction! I own many myself but that is because I wear them all and they are worn HARD. As in, I wear them working as a server, they get stained etc. Every 2 weeks I spend an hour ironing them all. So my white shirts reflect a true clothing need. For work, they have to be inexpensive and iron-free, which still means they require *some* ironing. Costco makes my favorites, then Jones NY. Do you have any other recommendations?

As for the non-needs, the wants: wedge or chunky cork sandals, and denim. Plus now I find myself constantly inspecting clutches.

Boots. I love boots and I just can't ever stop looking. Especially cowboy boots.

But the other obsession? Cardigans. I ALWAYS look for cardigans, year round. I'm especially drawn to the shorter, 3/4 sleeve ones and probably have 20, in every color, in my closet right now. Good thing I enjoy wearing them as much as I love shopping for them!

LeahJanes, now that's funny! At least I can wear my white shirts pretty often.

Coco, sorry, no recommendations from me. I have white shirts in all styles and brands so really don't have a favorite. As long as it's white, that is.

Dresses. Unfortunately, I really don't have a dress-wearing lifestyle, but at least I've been trying to buy more "day dresses" or casual styles. Summer is easier, as a flowy dress can be less dressy. Oh, and shoes and handbags.

I'm on a button front shirt kick right now. Once I started looking for them in thrift stores, I realized how many have been discarded. Now I can't seem to stop buying them!
