Thanks krishnidoux and fruitful! It's nice to know others are feeling/have felt the same and your words and encouraging.

Fruitful - When reading your post about how you are drawn to some items that are younger i just wanted to yell out, "this! this!". lol. That is exactly me and i posted about it awhile back and got some good encouragement here on the board, mostly a reminder that fashion is fun. And i too, am trying to get all the wear out of these pieces now. And i also totally agree about the pear shape thing. I think this can make us gravitate even more to clothing that can be associated with a younger audience.

I read a comment somewhere out on the internet that it is a US cutural thing to look mature. Someone was pointing out whereas over in Asia they more focus on youth and looking cute.

And I'm also reading Game of Thrones right now! I'm almost done with the first book!

NicoleB, it's reassuring to know you go through the same thing (re wearing "youthful" pieces now, and pear-shaped styles)!

And I am totally intrigued by the idea of different cultures valuing "maturity" vs cuteness. I've definitely seen older Asian women having no qualms about ruffles and mary janes. It's empowering to remember that US rules are not universal (like the big-boobed ideal - I saw a French woman posting online about how she never knew small breasts were considered problematic until she moved to America...)

Nice post.
