What is this style of pant called??

I would really like to try this style of pant, the vertical fold at the waist, not the handkerchief print. Does anyone know what this style is called? Is it a type of harem pant or lounge style?

Foldover pant. Or crossover pant. It is a sort of variation on the harem and slouchy styles, and you can find them around now pretty easily at the more trendy high end and low end stores, everything from Shopbop to Urban Outfitters. Denise (CocoLion) and Una (Alaskagirl) have some crossover jeans, and Denise and Anna have them in other fabrications, I believe.

Suze is correct. For the most part, they are called "crossover".

I found them at marshalls a couple of weeks ago..just one pair in a thin satiny type fabric. When I saw them first thing came to mind was they look like the pants worn by men in the Shakespere era. You know before buttons or zippers were invented.
