What I'm ordering - 2nd update in comments.

Yes, I'm still alive and have been lurking. I've been very focused on securing a new home! I may have news soon. Anyway, I have been following along with NAS and was ready to place an order right at the starting moment today.

1. Avec les Filles raincoat - replacing a raincoat I just passed on. I like the color and print for fall.

2. Sofft mules - I have seen Janet's good review. This will fill a need for me because I will soon be a person with outdoor space (fingers crossed)

3. Linea Paolo combat boots - I don't need boots; this is my pure "I don't need this but I fell in love with it" pick, and I am trying to limit myself to just one pick like that. (I am not a woman who needs more boots or winter coats, but those just call to me.)

4. Blanc Noir bomber - a bomber is a HEWI item for me.

I have a few other items I would kind of like (more boots, BP plaid shirt jacket), or love but need to talk myself out of right now (another winter coat). I may also some jewelry later on, and I'm ordering some of those towels Angie recommended, since I can replace a few towels before I move. I love lots of other home stuff, but I have no place to keep things for my future home in my current home, especially since we are both working from here...

I love the boots. Of course I would order, too, except I got both snakeskin booties and plaid boots in that style last year.

The coat looks really promising. I didn't like that it only has top entry pockets, though. That's a shame. Otherwise it would work really well for me also.

Suz - too bad about the pockets! I can be fussy in some ways, but the the pocket entry doesn't bother me. Mainly, I want my phone to fit in the pockets of jacket and top entry is probably even a little better for that.

Karie, I just hope the bomber isn't too long on me! I'm short-waisted and curvy, and a too long jacket often means it fits poorly on the bottom. Hence this is a HEWI for me. Fingers crossed!

Paolo boots are gorgeous. I have some tailors bunions and am starting to have to size up on things because of it, and this was the case here. The size 8 fit but as snug with a sock. Size 8.5 is perfect. Gorgeous boots!

AVF coat - beautiful and seems well made, but it’s best for straight figures. I got a size L, and it did not fit my hips. I can tell that even if get an XL, it will still pull across the hips... and this coat is supposed tonreplace one that pulled across my hips but fit otherwise. Ah well. I will keep looking.

I ordered one of my second round items, these jeans, which popped back up in my size. I also threw in some Kendra Scott earrings. I really want these shoes, too, but we are going to be cash poor for a while, so I will resist for now. Our home offer was accepted!

Thanks everyone! Excited about moving and about my shoes. Moving may take up to three months due to NYC red tape, though.

unfrumped - we own our apartment now and something is always wrong! Just last week we needed a new toilet seat. We are upgrading from a 450 sq ft place (with a fab location) to a 1600 sq ft duplex with a yard. Though it doesn't have grass and we won't put any in, so no mowing. Yes, we are almost quadrupling our space, so lots more stuff can go wrong!

We will have walk-in closets--plural!

Another order update - my towels were mis-delivered. I got a refund, but the color I wanted is sold out The bomber will arrive today so I will hop back on with a verdict.

Suz--thank you! I can't wait to move.... in 2-3 months. Sigh. I just hope the pandemic doesn't freeze all activity again in the interim. This apartment is way too small for us to both work comfortably. We need to put half our stuff into storage too, in order to start showing it; fortunately, the new purchase isn't contingent on us selling this one first.

The bomber arrived, and it's pretty great and actually fits over my hips. I think the arms look slightly bulky on me, and not sure sizing down would be a great idea due to my hips; proper coat and jacket fit can be a big pain on me. I'll take a picture at some point when it's less hot. I think I will be keeping it anyway. I like the thumb holes! ETA - here is a pic of me. Maybe I’m wrong to want to keep it. I clearly need a petite size, which they don’t make.
