What I wore and what I didn't

Hello all!
Backstory: About 9 months ago, I re-injured my right Achilles tendon, original injury was done over 40 years ago! So for 9 months I have been through many modalities of treatment, cortisone, ultrasound, wearing a boot, etc. I am now up to the last effort, before surgery, physical therapy. I am not able to wear, for the last 9 months, any shoes with a back, (since the back of the ankle is quite swollen and painful). But now to my point. When I go to physical therapy, they have to be able to access my calf and they make me ride a stationary bike....considerations concerning clothing must be made! So yesterday I had on 3 outfits and ended up wearing the fourth!
#1 decided I really didn't like the pants, at all! I will wear them as lounge wear
#2 Realized I would be too warm on the bike with the long sleeves
#3 Realized, the flowy pants, which are not jeans!, would get stuck in the pedals of the bike!
#4, Ran out of time! But the purse made me happy!

I’m sorry to hear about your injury. The outfit in #4 looks like a practical one for your physical therapy appointment, and the bag is very pretty. I really like the outfits in #2 and #3, with #3 being my favorite.

Special love for #2 - something about the puffy sleeves with the width of the jeans really appeals to me - but you look great in all of these!

Welp, you’ve got half a week’s worth of good outfits lined up. If the pants from 2 work on the bike, you could try them with the top from 1. Or just take gym clothes to change into.

Every one of these is perfect in my book. I love the fluid pants as well as the jeans. The woeven top in 2 is adorable on you too. You do sleeveless so well! Sorry about your injury. I had a complete rupture several years ago. Not fun.

I agree about the pants in 1, all the rest are great pieces and great outfits and your final choice looks perfect for the occasion.

It's true, the purse really makes a difference.

I like all these outfits! Sorry to hear you're not feeling fab in the pants in #1; you certainly make them look great in the photo!

I especially like #2. Are those the same pants in #3? They are a fab fit and style on you, and both tops and footwear work well with them.

Your final outfit looks like just the ticket for your appointment, a perfect blend of function and style.

My sympathy to you on the injury. I've heard Achilles injuries can take forever to heal, and it sounds awfully painful. I hope the physical therapy enables you to avoid surgery.

My favorite is #1 actually!

These are all fab outfits and I can related to switching a bunch of times before you head out the door :). I especially love #2--it has a lot of personality and you wear those high-waisted, flared jeans really beautifully.

I also really like all 4 of these outfits, but especially 1 & 4 because that top looks so terrific on you, and goes well with both of the pants.

Best wishes for continued healing. Long-term injuries with low-grade pain can really drain us. You certainly are looking like you're in top shape, though!

#2 is KILLER wow! Elegant and relaxed in that great '70s way.

The other outfits are fabulous too. Loving the additions of trendy shoes and polished handbags.

I like all of the outfits! For riding a bike, though, I might have worn shorts or a skort. Years ago, I ruined a beautiful pair of wool pants by catching them in my bike chain.

Sorry about your injury. I have similar issues with a back and knee injury. Chronic pain/injury sucks.

I really like all the outfits - you look lovely. No 2 is particularly fabulous - love the shapes and the colors. The trousers in no 1 look great in the photo, it’s a pity you didn’t like them.

how did the physical therapy appt go? muscle and joint injuries are hard, esp in the legs--after all, you have to use them every day!

i love the wide leg fits and agree with your pragmatic assessment. last think you needed was another injury inflicted by your clothes!

Angie, I actually have that hot pink Furla and guitar strap you posted....maybe a year or so ago. What a workhorse and everywhere I go, people compliment the bag!
Katrina, I think there is "too much" pant near the groin/upper thigh area for my eye...I might try them for public use one more time, but again, they will be nice to throw on post shower, if not quite ready for pjays or dressing for the day.
bj1111, Thank you. oh the PT is tedious....but again I so do not want surgery. I have also decided if PT doesn't make a big difference I will try acupuncture next. Injury by clothing, LOL. I think we might have all experienced that one time or another.
