What I saw in Austin.

So with the YLF crew in Austin I saw and tried on this leather jacket

It's double breasted and made of great leather, except the sleeves were too short for me. It made me realize I do need another black leather jacket.
I have a cropped Nanette Lepore, but it's on the dressy side. My Improvd woven leather jacket is summer only.
I saw this jacket at Neiman Marcus.

They didn't have a large in stock but Saks was running a friends and family discount. So I pounced.
What do you think? I'll get the first week of May or so.

I saw this jacket in person, just on the hanger. Of course we'll have to see it on you, but it has great potential. Really nice piece!

How fab that the peplum can be removed to turn it into a cropped moto! Exceptional

Wow, I LOVE it!!!! I hope it works out for you, Anna. I love that with the peplum it can look sort of feminine, but at the same time it has all the edgy details and you can also wear it cropped.

Ooh, I love the Madewell, too bad it didn't work for you. I have a weakness for double-breasted leather.

The convertible one is awesome for you, though. I hope you end up loving it. You can have the peplum on for more wackadoodle days and zip it off for a more iconic moto look.

I purchased the Madewell last October, but returned it in favor of a Balenciaga-inspired jacket from Zara (that I love). The Madewell was appealingly RATE but the double breasted style was bothersome.

I like your alternative from Saks! I almost got a white vest from this same line... well, the F&F discount goes until midnight, so I still have a few hours to think about it!

What about the fireworks leather jacket? Still have that?

I love it! Can't wait to see it on you. I really like the removable peplum, the raw edges, and the fact that it's a combination of leather and fabric, which makes it softer looking than all-leather jackets.

That jacket is gorgeous! I do have a peplum leather jacket myself though and I find the style more limiting than a regular moto style.
