The NAS is now on in Canada for cardholders.

I got:
- Aquatalia booties (gulp, spendy!)
- grey felt hat

And that’s it!

I’m so psyched about these booties. They’re the perfect size (8.5 is available!) and look great on my foot. They’re not too elongating, which can happen with tapered toe boxes. The 2.5” heel is not too much for me.

They only had them in black at my store though.

I would really like one of the other colourways (they have brown, grey, and navy).

Believe it or not, it’s very hard to get this sock boot style and I’m wondering if I should bite the bullet and get another pair in another colour.

Thoughts?

NICE.

I didn't make these booties a top pick because the ankles kept wrinkling on clients and on me - and I have narrow ankles. Do they do that on you too? I'm curious. You must have the midas touch! Or the wrinkling doesn't worry you. It's all good as long as they are comfy, and you're happy.

I think they look good on you! The wrinkles are very even, which makes a difference. The winkles on me were just at the top. Looked odd. I'm guessing you take a larger foot size and the fit up top is better against your leg.

I have never regretted any of my investments in my Aquatalia boots (and I have several pairs - I always buy them on sale at NAS). The quality is superb and I wear the heck out of mine during the fall and winter. I have a pair that is probably six years old and still going strong. Not sure if that helps you decide if you want to duplicate this style in another color, but I can attest to the quality of them.

These look really good on you, Smittie.

My Caries from last year wrinkle some on me and at times it bothers me. It depends what I am wearing with them and how quickly I walk. Sometimes they seem to "slide down" on my leg a bit. But I'm still really glad I bought them -- they're great quality dressier booties with weather readiness and I wore them a LOT last fall/winter. I wear the same shoe size as Angie and have shortish legs and so I think maybe the top of the "sock" hits me higher, meaning that there's a proportion wonkiness that may not be there for you. But I would do the "walk around the house a lot" test especially before ordering another colour.

I think I'm ok with the slouch, and will do the walk-around-the-house-a-lot test to make sure they don't fall down.

These are actually a really good fit on me in the ankle. Most boots are too big, and these are pretty good--maybe not perfect, but about as good as it's going to get

I do have a large-ish foot for my height, so it might very well be that the shaft portion is wide enough not to cause issues.

Suz, I'd forgotten you'd got those blue booties last year. I guess they are more available than I thought.
