What I Bought : Keep or Return

Hi Ladies,

It's my day off and I was speaking at the Womens' meeting at church and then had coffee with a girlfriend and then somehow... we stumbled across the shops!

Anway I am pretty happy with my purchases but I would appreciate you casting your eyes other them.

#1 - 5 Black Open Weave Tunic/Sweater
I see this with skinny leg pants, skirts, white jeans etc. I think it would prove to be quite versatile. I have posted it with new pants, and with my red skirt which I have specifically been looking for something like this to pair with it. #5 just gives a closer look at the weave which it lager openings on the shoulder areas and smaller lower down.

#1,6, 7 are Patterned Skinny Leg Pants. Well they are actually leggings but I sized up specifically to create a skinny pant look. They are a substantial fabric and there is a little scrunch at the ankle. #7 is a close up of the pattern.

#8/9 /10 Bandage Ponte Midnight Blue Skirt. The color looks cobalt but it's somewhere between a blue and purple. Looks good with red and I have plenty of toppers for this.

#11/12/13 Apricot Crochet Kaftan. Shown here with the skinny pants and different cami tops underneath. I see this mostly with slim jeans and crop pants (ppl) and my white jeans in particular.

I really love your bold, colorful style! I also particularly love the pants - they look great on you. The black sweater has such a fun shape, and the apricot color is gorgeous. I love the blue skirt with those fantastic shoes - you do the high vamp so well.

I think I prefer the black sweater with the pants instead of the skirts. The skirts are beautiful and you look great in them, but to me, the sweater gives off a different style vibe than the skirts. At first I thought it was because of the contrast in shapes, but I think it's the relaxed style of the open weave vs. the tailored and sexy style of the skirts that's causing a little disconnect in my brain.

But I am a preppy so take that for what it's worth!

Great finds! My favorites are the pants and the apricot top. The pants are gorgeous and will fit perfect with your wardrobe and style and the apricot top har really interesting texture and the colour is really great with your hair. Yes, and I like the skirt and black top too

Great haul, Deb! I like them all especially the open wave knits. I love they are almost elbow length and nice intentional "grinning", not too bulky, assimetric or high low hems so they meet all my expectations.. JUST the black seems to be a bit too wide on the hips, can you pls. take in a bit only slightly from waist down to hem? For ex. the apricot has a much slimmer line, and therefore more flattering on that special spot. Just my two cents-but maybe it's just in my eyes, or your pose(?)...

Great blue bandage skirt, I saw one in black here either (blues too, but not my colour this shade) and am on the fence I didn't buy it, now I cannot find it anymore...:-((.

I'm still biased on patterned pants for myself, but love it on you, and hey there is spring in the AU, isn't it?:-)

Lyn thank you, I will reasses the black top. It's a different cut with more fabric at the sides. I will try it again and just make sure I have it sitting right.

Love all of it. Very "you." My only thought is to try the apricot sweater with both a lighter tank underneath and lighter bottoms. Maybe grey or cream or washed out denim? Thinking these color combos would look nice for spring.

Thanks Denise. I meant to post a pic with an apricot cami but posted the black cami twice duh! I'm thinking white bottoms with it too.

I only have time for one reply this morning and I'm sure glad I saw your post! These finds are completely yummy-licious - there is something to be said for stumbling upon the shops! They're all too die for but that apricot sweater at the end is fantastic. I wouldn't return any of them, I think you'll get tons of wear out of all of them. Can't wait to see them integrated into your wardrobe!

I love all these, especially the coloured pieces!
Not sure about the shape of the black knit with the skinny pant front- on, but the side profile with the black heels is divine.
I can only imagine your loot with a planned and intentional shopping trip

I love all the pieces with the exception of #13. I think #13 would look nicer with a lighter colored cami or over a dress, but I could be wrong.

I love the patterned pants, blue skirt and apricot sweater. I think they all look fab on you. I feel that the black sweater is overwhelming you and may be a bit too much volume. I have a tendency to avoid volume on the bottom though and seem to project that onto others so take my words with a grain of salt.

Lovely haul. Its great when a spontaneous shopping expedition is so successful.

It amazing how we can sometimes "stumble" into the shops.

I like everything, but I'm not digging the red skirt with with the black top. Like others have said, it seems kindda voluminous, so I would say stick to skinnies. You're so small I'm afraid we'll lose you in the outfit.

I love the black sweater with all the options including the red skirt, which might be my favorite. I love those shoes - I will ask what they are although I could never handle the heel. The only thing that gives me pause is the apricot sweater but I am sure I will change my tune when you style it differently.

Gorgeous, Deborah! I love all of these. I do think the apricot will look better styled with some lighter items, but it's perfect fro your spring/summer! (And so nice to see you add colour). I ADORE the bandage skirt on you. And love, love, love that first top.

Love the items, Deborah! I actually like the sweaters with skirts, but perhaps lower contrast would make for an even stronger impression -- worth a try, think. Good thinking to size up leggings for "soft skinnies."

I love the idea of stumbing into shops, and the cobalt skirt is incredible. Maybe its because a picture is 2 dimensional rather than 3, but the black top seems to overwhelm you. Does it flow more IRL?
