I thought I was going to make it through May with zero purchases, but I was mall shopping with my kids yesterday and went into Uniqlo to look for the gauzy cardigan Angie posted about this week. I didn't find the cardigan. but was excited to discover good inventory on the latest Marimekko collection. I had obsessed over it online but was discouraged by sizing range and availability and resigned myself to missing out. However in person I was able to try the dress in two patterns and the "melooni' (melon) tee shirt. Fit on the size L dress was better than expected, but this type of brightly coloured large scale pattern is generally pretty overwhelming on me and these dresses were not enough of an exception to make me truly love them. But I was thrilled to walk away with the tee.

Generally speaking my low-shop year continues to go well - almost every trend that has interested me is already represented in my wardrobe, and I am able to pull together outfits for varied occasions quickly and painlessly. Using Finds has been super helpful, for example for my Costa Rica trip this month having a visual collection helped stop me from last-minute panic shopping before the trip - and in the end I had more than enough "tropical" items for a one week trip.
