Today I had the car, so I ran some quick errands and ducked into the outlet store. I tried on a strapless dress I'd eyed there a few weeks before. Today I brought it home. Took a pic. Returned it within an hour. Lol. I had ideas of taking off the ruffle (held it up for the pic so you didn't get the full Carmen Miranda-ness of it). Then I realized the dress was wearing me, ruffle or not.
Rewind to last summer, when I was stalking a purple dress waiting for it to go on sale. I finally ordered it, nearly full price, only to find the sewing was off by a full inch from the left bust to the right. Back it went! (by the by, it's STILL not any cheaper a whole year later - what's up with that!?)
Conclusion: I am craving that particular tribal inspired print more than the dresses themselves. Now, possible solution? I also immediately fell in love with the ikat top worn by J Everyday in her blog last month. Will this satisfy my tribal lust in a wearable way?
