Suits major check, bodysuits check, leggings/skirted leggings check, cowboy boots check, skinny jeans check, skulls & overalls check....
No:
Orange, yellow or warm colors
stilettos
fur
shackets
faux leather
pumps (they fall off my feet, not because I don't like them)
track suits
sweat pants
wide leg pants
super high waists (greater than 10"a no for my size)
trapper and big hats
mittens (I prefer gloves)
sandals (I break toes I need them covered)
That's a short list I'm sure there is more. Interesting that my yes' seems to be everyone else's no's!!

Adding a few more -- ugg boots, crocs (although I might try a pair for gardening next year), cold shoulder top.

I don't think I have ever owned a denim skirt, either. Or a dress that ties in the back.

Leather bottoms (real or otherwise)
Pumps
Stilettos
Trenchcoat
Mini skirt

I'm old enough to have worn it all! Even a 60s red striped mini shorts "suit". So fickle with impulse buys!

... And in the realm of beauty, jewellery, body art, etc., I have never worn/had:
- Wigs or hair extentions
- Fake nails
- False eyelashes
- Botox, Restylane, silicone, etc.
- Piercings, not even "common" ear studs
- Tattoos
- Toe rings

Shorts, suits, loafers, mini-skirts, no strapless since I was pulled up on stage at the State Fair in my early 20's to participate in a dance and it slipped, completely exposing one breast, ack!

I've never had ripped jeans and no professionally distressed denim.

Never had :
black leather moto jacket
bodysuits
leather pants
thong underwear
skirted leggings
cold shoulder tops
crocs
ripped jeans

Fun thread!

I've also never had Ugg boots, a suit, OTK boots, cold-shoulder top, or fur anything.

The only one I can think of that hasn't already been mentioned ... the color pink! I don't think I've worn anything true pink in since I was 7 or 8?

I've tried most fabrics and styles at one time or another, but I can think of a few "nevers"....

pant suit
bright yellow clothing
tennis skirt
OTK boots
clutch bag (with no strap)
shorts romper
khaki pants
real croc leather

Ive also never had a latex dress!

But I have had leather shorts, metallic clothing, faux fur vests, corsets, bodysuits, all kind of jewelry, and all sorts of fun, sparkly, statement arty items......

I have heaps more Nevers after reading this. Never had:
Denim jacket ( as before)
Leather jacket of any colour
Fully leather or pleather pants- only patches on pants
Bought “distressed” jeans of any sort- have worn holes in some
Trench coat
OTK boots
Crocs
Birkenstocks
Cold shoulder anything
In fact after making this list I wonder what I have been wearing all these years!

Like Jenni, I see many things other people listed and realize I don’t have them either. My wardrobe is pretty basic in a lot of ways. I’m happy with that, because I lean much more to the “I woke like this” side than tryhard, really don’t like letting them see me sweat (metaphorically).

Bodysuit, black trousers or jeans or tops, black coat or jacket, contact lenses, painter pants, overalls, full length ball gown, full length wedding dress, fur coat, mini skirt

Let’s see, no thong underwear, no leather coat (cold and expensive), no distressed or skinny jeans, no walking on a platform shoe or boot since a sprained teenage ankle. No heels over 2 inches. Avoided formality in weddings, esp mine.
So, mostly pain avoidance as a fashion filter. Otherwise, all is fair game for a try out if it fits local conditions.

Jenni NZ, LOL! I wonder the opposite. Some things I bought only once but enjoyed them. I remember I bought faux leather pants on my first trip abroad. I brought from Paris a pair beige snake pleather pants. Pants lasted only a couple of seasons but I adored them.

I guess it means I was always into fashion and experimenting with it. Admittedly, some of my choices were very questionable

I never had a track suit. I’m more into sportswear now and actually consider it.

I was going to respond but realized it was going to be a big list of trends I didn’t like, which would diss everyone who liked those trends. Sitting on my hands.

Ah, Western-inspired things are very much NOT my jam. I did try a pair of cowboy boots when I first met Dh, but that didn't last long, and as it stands, if a shoe or other items even slightly leans Western it is enough to put me off.

I’ve never had a suit or a strapless top. I haven’t had a cold shoulder top either. Other than that, I can’t think of much. A fur coat, I guess, not even a faux one. OTK boots.

Buckle shoes. When I was a little girl there were basically 2 kinds of shoes for kids: oxfords and buckle shoes, the latter worn mostly on Sundays. I had rheumatic fever as a girl and the medical opinion at the time was that I could have weak ankles. So each year as Easter approached, I wanted buckle shoes, but had to settle for saddle shoes.

Often the shoes had 2 sets of buckles. These shoes weren't quite the same as Mary Janes and weren't called that.

Never had a pair of spike heels either. By time I was tall, I didn't want to be taller. 3" my limit.

As an adult I have had many pairs of buckle sandals, but that 10-year old girl somewhere inside me still wishes she could have had a pair of white buckle shoes for spring.

Wearing short dress and lace up shoes!

@ Ms Maven - ah! The Easter outfit! (The stylish woman in the photo is my Aunt Mary who worked as a nurse in Boston. She was responsible for my one, and only - Barbie!)

What a fan photo Carla!

LIke many others there are a lot of things that I have never had in my wardrobe. to name a few
no leather pants or leather skirt
No polo necks
No kitten heels
No stilettos
No capes
No mom jeans
No stirrup pants
Oh the list goes on. I have often seen something and gone.."no wont suit me" or "not my thing" and not tried that trend.

Carla, perfect example of little girl spring outfit!

Funny: I just wore a Veronica Beard pant suit to a wedding and have never had so much fun dancing!

It’s funny because the three things I mentioned I really like - loafers, white shirts and suits. Gorgeous classic pieces.

With suits I used to own 3-5 at a time, I probably had 10 on total from 20-31, then I had children and changed industry so didn’t add any new ones. Then they became less common, or needed in many

Do cosmetics count? The only bright colored lipstick I’ve ever owned was a delicious looking shade of fuschia given to me by my mother when I was 3 or 4. I mostly chewed on it and it definitely didn’t taste as good as it looked. Nowadays I stick to pinkish nude shades since I’d rather not draw attention to my (lack of) lips.

Ms Maven, we usually wore patent leather Mary Janes to church, but one year we got these. Are they what you mean? This is Easter Sunday. Our mom made our dresses, and it was very special that we were permitted to play on the swingset in our church clothes.

The shoes in the pictured outfit in today's blog post ("Slouchy Sweater Dress") just made me think of another ubiquitous wardrobe item I have never had (so far ): high-top sneakers.

I have never had: Cargo pants. Birkenstocks. Doc Martens. Combat Boots. Buffalo check. Southwest patterns. Baseball caps. Pretty much anything that is specifically grunge. Madras plaid. What I refer to as the "lampshade dress" or "towel dress", a la "the dress every woman wears who has ever been on The Bachelor(ette)".

I was going to say skulls, but I just remembered that I have a pair of skull and crossbone pirate earrings.

What I haven't worn in a long time: Denim skirts or shorts. Haven't come across a skirt that I liked in some years, and I feel like shorts made out of denim is counter to me staying cool in hot weather.

Reading people's lists, I realize I've tried a LOT of trends over the years.
What I haven't worn:

toe-ring sandals (my big toe never fits)
black leather moto
leather pants
