Fun reading everyone's items! Great topic, Janet!

Great photo, Helena!

I can't say nothing fur as my grandparents bought be a white bunny fur coat when I was two-years old! I'm sure they thought it was very decadent at the time, but poor bunnies!

Overalls. I have never owned overalls. Denim, corduroy, or otherwise.

BlueJay, I've never owned overalls either! High five. I think they're totally cute... until I put them on my body.

oh yeah, ripped jeans. Like deliberate fraying of tweed but otherwise no destroyed, distressed anything. I have owned a pair or two of over the knee boots but always end up getting rid of them. No birkenstocks.
No recognizable designer bags.

Have never had: Skinny jeans, stilettos, tube tops, overdyed or pre-ripped jeans, cold shoulder tops/dresses.

Birkenstocks - I missed the moment on those and now I can't - I need a lot of support.

Had way back in the original day and never wore after Jr. High (late 60's - very early 1970's): mini skirts or dresses.

I did love overalls in high school and college - but not since then.

oohh, cold shoulder, there's another one I gave a miss to

Fun!
Not in a very long time: a suit, a white shirt, a denim jacket, a graphic t shirt, a jumpsuit, real fur, white jeans, a plaid shirt, Mary Janes, short flared skirts, anything strapless, white sneakers.

Never: ripped jeans, overalls, Oxfords, leather pants, dad sneakers, Crocs, anything backless, high end designer anything.

There's probably a lot more for both categories!

Fun…
I’ve haven’t worn earrings since I was 14. I’ve never owned a stiletto’s or strapless anything.

At first I only thought of a jumpsuit. Or worse, a romper. First because, yuck, and second because I have a long torso and they would never fit. Not that I've tried, but when you know, you know!

But after reading all these funny posts I realize there is quite a lot I have never had!

What a fun question! Remarkably, I do have a suit. A little grey tweed number from Boden that I think I've only ever worn as separates.

The shoe list would be long: stilettos, kitten heels, loafers, mules, Birks, Uggs, clogs (unless you count the felted wool type)... probably many more.

No leather or suede apparel. Definitely no fur (I remember my great grandmother's fur coats hanging in my grandmother's closet. They were there throughout my entire childhood; I have no clue what happened to them after my grandmother passed away).

No Spanx or other shapewear, or underwire bras for that matter.

No white jeans (but I do have a white denim jacket).

I would say no earrings, but I've been given several pairs as gifts over the years by relatives who assumed my ears were pierced. I re-gift or donate them.

No wedding dress! Got married without having a ceremony.

Love this. I've never had: docs, ballet flats (except for actual ballet), designer handbag, Honorable mention goes to pieces I tried and decided weren't for me: dresses, polkadots, bows, peep toes, platform heels, cons, fabric trench coats.

a breton t-shirt

Rompers? Uggs? Birkenstocks? Nope. And I never had Docs, either.

Over the knee boots. I've always coveted them, but I think the window of wearability has closed. The Stuart Weitzman boots that I wanted were very expensive, too. Hard to find flat, leather, OTK boots!

Have never worn:
- G-strings
- Shapewear
- Bodysuits
- Biker shorts
- Denim skirts
- Skinny jeans
- Distressed anything
- Skulls
- Cold shoulder tops/dresses
- Stilettos

Have not worn since the 1970s:
- Acrylic knitwear
- Orange

I'm going to have to go with Rachy here and say there isn't much I haven't tried, especially in terms of shoes. I've never owned a slip dress or a romper. I've only owned two "suits" and those were the brightly colored/patterned teen style, '80s sort. I wore them for several job interviews and that was that.

Oh, and I've never owned a white button-down shirt. I avoid button-down shirts in general. And, more recently, the "cold shoulder" trend left me... cold. There were a number of tops I loved in every other way, but I never would buy anything with the shoulders cut out.

Hmm this is fun. I am pretty sure I have never had a bustier or strapless top of any kind. No penny loafers, although I wish I could wear them now. They don't stay on my feet. No super high stiletto heels. I would guess 2 -2.5" has been my max, and now no pretty heels at all. Never had motorcycle boot, although I would love a pair and came very close a couple of years ago. Never had a tulle skirt.

It's interesting to see how many people have owned few or no suits. I've had MANY. The first was a Norma Kamali skirt suit in grey sweatsuit material. Wore that sucker to the ground.

CarolS - I’ve had several suits and loved them - they suited my working life. Now mostly donated.

I like the play on words, sloper!

Fun thread! I had to read all the responses to think of anything but I haven't had anything strapless since my high school prom, stiletto or really any high heels ever, real fur, and that is all I can think of now!

I've never had a dress-for-success serious type suit. I remember wearing a pink brocade cocktail suit to a wedding in the mid-80s and then in the early 90s I had a pant suit that was more like what the kids are calling co-ords these days: crepe pants with a matching oversized shirt jacket. But that's it. I've never had real leather pants or a leather skirt. I've never had over-the-knee boots. I haven't owned classic pumps since the 80s. I haven't owned a blazer since about 2010. In more of the beauty realm, I've never had fake nails and I've never had my eyebrows professionally done (and they look it, oy).

Formal long ( or midi length ) dress - ever. Once had pant suit with satin navy fabric for special Happy New Year event ( worn once ) and one black sorta cocktail dress ( worn at Christmas party and couple times for work ).
Would be probably interested in special dress in flapper style for some special outing .

Mom jeans or any kind of pants in white or beige. Skirts or dresses that cover my knees. Last formal dress I had was as a bridesmaid at a wedding. We get to choose our dresses here but they usually have to be long and each woman in the wedding party gets assigned or gets to choose a different color. I donated mine shortly after the wedding.

This is a fun thread. To add to my list: No cowboy boots, trench coat, shape wear, Mary Janes, ballet flats or any other kind of flat, real fur, leggings, or jumpsuit.

No maxi dress since I was 16.

Stilettos, or any high heeled shoes. Trench coats.

Actually, I may have owned them at one point, but never worn them!

Sneakers! Or gym shoes as I call them. Only for the gym hall.

My list is related to comfort and style preferences and the other relates to weather.
Comfort and style preferences: No 3 inch stilettos, leather or faux leather pants, spanx or other shape wear, cowboy boots, cowboy hat, mom jeans, boyfriend jeans.

Weather, due to not having cold winters: long puffer coat, ear muffs and rain and snow shoes (not too sure what else you people wear in very cold temps, but I am unlikely to have worn it)!

Blazers are extremely rare in my wardrobe, and suits even moreso. There was a lovely boysenberry blazer with shawl collar I posted on the forum years ago. Rachylou said to get it, I thought it was too expensive. Rachylou was right. I still regret not getting it.

Such a fun read! Nodding along to many, then realizing— no, I actually did wear that! Ha ha ha!

100% Ugg bootless (but wear Ugg slippers daily 8 months/yr)

These are so great!

Never wore classic Uggs and Birks don’t work on my feet, so none for me either.

I haven’t owned a proper pair of pumps in many years. Too dressy and they all fall off my heels.

I last wore ballet flats about 14 years ago before I decided I prefer more substantial shoe styles on myself.

Fun to see all these responses! I feel like I have had most, even ones that I think are just not me - I tried.

Anyone remember the Candie's sandals from the 80's? I had those in high school, they hurt my feet horribly (but I wore them anyway) and it was the last time I had high heels.

I had lots of suits back in my CPA/banking days but none since, same with pumps.

Add me to the list of never had cowboy boots, fur anything, strapless, leather pants or moto, birks.
