I want to add loafers to my shoe collection. Faced with a limited Canadian retail options + even more limitations with my size I decided to try what shoeme.ca has to offer - in particular Walking Cradles. None of them looked very exciting in the pictures but I decided - why not order and try on?
They came today - 5 different pairs. Here is a benefit of ordering and trying on multiple pairs of similar shoes at once: you can really see the difference in comfort and style. I put on the first pair and it was OK, the second and third were better but the last 2 looked clear winners to me - at least from this bunch!
So here are the winners - Trump loafers. It is the same style in 2 colors - pearl white and tobacco (which is really a deep chestnut color IRL).
Question #1 - am I blind and they are not a good choice for me (aka frumpy)?
Question #2 - which color? White was the one which attracted my attention in the first place. I think classic loafers in a shade of white look more current and dressy. However I already have flat JCrew oxfords in a very similar shade of white - do I also need white loafers and have enough wear out of them?
Also I wished that I also snapped those oxfords in a cognac color. Sometimes you just need a darker shoe - white does not work all the time. Alas, JCrew oxfords are gone now - but should I get these chestnut loafers instead of white? I wish they were lighter - more cognac - but this color is also nice and rich. Loafers in black or dull brown just do not appeal to me but these two colors do.
I need YLF advice here: should I keep white or chestnut - or maybe both?
Help!!!!
