I'm not a movie-theater-goer. I cannot sit still for two hours (or be quiet for that long). I always want to comment on everything that is happening in the movie...speculate on the plot and the characters' motivations... That said, once in a while an epic movie comes along that begs to be seen in full, panoramic, IMAX glory. For that. I drag myself to the theater.

Do you have access to one of those theaters that's full of sofas and tables and you can order pizza, beer, whatever? We've got access to one of those, but it doesn't fill the same niche as the IMAX.

I wear comfy jeans, sweater, and bring a puffy and a blanket scarf. My husband ridicules me about it.

Lol, Emily. I didn't know we had so much in common...

And we do have a dinner theatre but it's not a big big screen. For Blade Runner, it's got to be the three-story screen... hehe

I don't usually go to the movies. I don't usually go on dates either. But I really want to go to Blade Runner. I think I might go by myself, wear my leather jacket and a lot of eye makeup.

Also, Emily K, no one ever agrees to watch tv with me because I can't shut up. Or prevent myself from saying what the ending is going to be.

Do it Lila!

You're funny about the tv...

DH and I do love going to the movies. I appreciate the full artistic effort of the production by seeing it on a big screen, with the right sound system. Clutching arms, holding hands, elbow nudges at the good bits, sharing a good laugh.

It's fun to be absorbed in the experience of watching a good story unfold. I'm happy to bring "the willing suspension of disbelief" (i even liked John Carter of Mars ).

I just wear whatever I normally wear on a weekend, not a big deal. We're sitting in the dark, so who cares. Ps, if you live in a chilly climate, don't wrap up too much in the theater, you'll be that much colder when you get outside again, and you won't have anything else to layer on. Learned this from personal experience from living on the East Coast. I'd guess the theater will be fairly crowded, so the body heat of everyone will warm the place up.

Just saw it today at 3 p.m. PDT! It's fantastic. Wear layers and a comfy waistband. I tend to see the temps go up and down -- people warm it up, the air blows on you, it cools down repeat. At least that's my experience in Seattle.

I'm so excited now!!

That's true about theatre wind!

I saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens in an Imax theater. It was too much for me. It felt like the all of the space ships were zooming right at me. I guess that's the point, though. What I wore: we were in Texas so I was dressed for warm weather, with cropped pants, tee, sneakers, and a denim jacket. The theater was packed so I wasn't cold. Right after that I bought this Star Wars sweatshirt

It depends so much on the theater, who I'm going with, and time of day. Anything from a smart casual outfit with jeans, a moto jacket, boots, scarf, casual top to items from my just-barely-a-step-above-athleisure capsule.

Now I'm thinking I should layer up and err on the side of warmth since I don't want to have to get up in the middle to use the ladies room because that's what happens when I get cold -- and it's such a long movie.

Some friends just saw the film and said it was worth it. One saw the original and felt this was a worthy sequel.

It mostly depends on the weather. I like to dress comfortable when I go to movies. In summers it would be maxi dress or t-shirt with summer pants. I always take a light jacket with me, because sometimes in summers when its very hot outside they turn on cold air conditioner, and than it can get a bit cold.
In winter i wear pants with warm jumper or winter dress with leggings. Its always good to take a big scarf with me in winter in case I get called I just wrap it around me.

Right now, I think I would wear jeans, high-neck sweater, leather jacket and booties.
