I loved reading Dee's post about what we are drawn to as our "achilles heel". And it got me thinking - what do we underbuy because it is hard to find, hard to fit, too expensive or we just aren't drawn to this piece even though we need it (for example disliking winter so not buying winter woolies).

Firstly, I really do not underbuy. Even if I did not shop this year I could comfortably get dressed for every occasion.... But there are a couple of categories that I am very lean on

Sweaters - I do like them, and they are useful, But so hard to know how they will wear, and I find it hard to find them interesting enough but flattering enough (cables and bulkier styles do not suit me). Thin gauge often suits better but it can feel boring and the colour range available is often not what I want. Some can feel scratchy too. So I just make do despite feeling bored with my choices.

Denim -I wear jeans often. I own three pairs - and they are all blue straight leg with some variations. Premium denim is sooooo expensive here in NZ that it is daunting. I like to shop denim in person and try on multiple styles and brands - there are places to do that but not many as often you only get the one. I prefer swimsuit shopping to denim shopping - it's easier for me....

Over to you - what do you constantly underbuy?
