I wouldn't try - the little clip looks out of place to me. However I'm also not a fan of hemming this way where the original bottom stays the bottom and the rest of the fabric is tucked up inside, so that is another reason why I'm not a fan.
I think it could be okay on a very casual pair of trousers or jeans but not great for a smarter look. It's not the smartest solution but I use iron on hemming web which can be removed if I change my mind about the length.
hmmm... clever little concept but
#1- I dont' care for seeing the hardware at the edge of the hemline (you'd have to use atleast 4 on each leg don't you think?)
#2 I think it could rub against your ankle on the inside when you walk depending on your shoes.
