What do you think of this jumpsuit & these lined jeans?

Please excuse whatever is on the floor behind me!
Are the jeans long enough?
Note: underneath the jumpsuit, I’m wearing a swimsuit with no support on top. I assume proper underpinnings would make a difference.

ETA: the jeans have jersey lining that I think will be yummy cozy (yummily cozy?) this winter. That makes it awkward to roll up cuffs. The lining buttons up underneath the zipper fly for the denim, and there is a bit of jersey that sticks up above the denim waist all the way ‘round. The string hanging down my front is a drawstring for the jersey lining.
If I wear the jeans this winter, how much heels should my shoes/boots have?

Jumpsuit looks great! Possibly a smiiidge short in the torso but if it feels fine when you sit/bend/etc you are good to go.

Jeans are too big imo. (They kinda look like they are standing away from your body.)

Agree with Sarah's comments about the jumpsuit - is it comfy through the torso? If so, you're good, but it does look a touch short - mind you, I probably wouldn't have notice only that you asked us to look!

I'm terrible with jeans lengths - I would probably cuff or hack them so they are above the ankle - but I have cuffing problems. I think the current length looks modern - but others will know better.

I have zero eye for fit. That said, the jeans look off somehow... are they too large? The thigh/hip/waist don't look quite right but I cannot articulate why.

What I think...

...the jumpsuit looks like loungewear (probably not what you want to hear) and what other’s say about short in the torso. With foundation garments, everything might be hiked up even higher. Would that be comfortable?

...the fit of the jeans looks good in a ‘boyfriend’ slightly slouchy way and flattering on the side view. The hem is at an awkward length. Try styling with a roll, or give them a hack. I’m thinking a ‘shark bite’ hem with frays vs a straight across chop.

*FWIW, bathing suits are like shape wear, and tend to smoosh everything down and into place. I suspect the garments would fit and look different with your regular underpinnings.

Thank you Sarah, TG, and Nemo! I’m going back to the original post to add some info about the jeans. They are lined with jersey. There is a bit of the jersey that sticks up above the denim waist, and the drawstring that hangs down is from the lining.

I *think* the jumpsuit is long enough, but might need to put it on & try some calisthenics.

Jeans look too big and either too short or too long, and too wrinkled. If this is a question of keep/purge, my answer is purge. The jumpsuit looks like a decent fit, but would be improved and brought up to date by pairing with a snug white tee, cute flat sandals, and a good laundering/pressing.

Cjh, I love those styling suggestions, which will coincidentally bring the jumpsuit into fall, which seems to have started very promptly here. You and I might have been posting at the same time, so idk if you saw the info about the jeans’ lining. You are very right that everything needs pressing

Carla, thank you for the styling advice. You wear jeans well! I like those ideas but am hesitant about them with the lining in the jeans. You and might’ve been posting at the same time, so I don’t know if you saw what I was saying about the lining. The swimsuit under the jumpsuit is the same one I’m wearing with the jeans. I put it on to convince myself to get to the pool, then hung out at home in it all morning, lol.

Didn’t know about the lining. Sounds cozy for a Berlin winter. Try the roll, since a lining might work there.

Jeans look like something worn for warmth disregarding the style/length
( comfort present but the style is not - sorry ). The length is the main problem - doesn't look right.
The jumpsuit is nice - I'm sure you can style it for summer or fall.

Not a big fan of the jumpsuit on you--sorry. I think you have shown things that look better.
I actually like the easy fit of the jeans as for a BF style but don't know how to assess the waist and lining. They do look too short for the leg style.
I have jeans lined in flannel and in fleece but they have regular waistbands.

Jumpsuit looks good. Is it new? If so, is it 100% viscose? Do the sit-down test to make sure the buttons don't gape too much.

Jeans are an odd length like this. Cuff them with one wide cuff and you might be in business with socks and boots for warmth. But do they feel too big?

You do really suit a jumpsuit - definitely flattering on you. It may be too short in the body but check - I like the concept though.

I think the jeans look okay and if you own them I think you could play around and make them work. But if they are a potential new addition I think you could do better....I like the idea of the fleece lining though for a cold winter.

I love the jumpsuit on you. It looks "shapely" due to the waist shaping and small print. With your hair, it's a very carefree and bohemian look.
The jeans seem bulky in the front; that may be due to the rise. I have jeans that length though & they drive me crazy because they feel too short, especially with shoes. I don't cuff or cut, so I'm stuck with them.
People are wearing jeans of all shapes & lengths now, & I think they look good (the fit of the legs) despite those two issues, and they're warm.

Thanks, everyone! You were right that I came up with these by shopping my closet.

I'm not sure how I wound up with the jeans that are too short. I got them shortly after my son was born, and am sure I haven't put on any vertical inches since then, lol. I'll try one big cuff--will have to see if it stays, what with the lining. If so, I think I'll pair them with the red boots. Wish I could remember what I used to wear with them. Does anyone remember moon boots from the 80s? They'd work, but I'm not about to get any. I wonder if tucking them into Ugg type boots would work. I'll have to pay attention to if there's anything else in my closet that could go with those.

Angie, I'm amazed that you picked out the content of the jumpsuit! You nailed it dead on.

Ophelia, this is the most fitted jumpsuit I have--think I have to wear it only on days when my stomach feels flattest.

Rachylou, aren't you a fan of the 90s? That's when I got the jumpsuit.
