What do you think of this jacket?

It's out of my price range currently but should I stalk it? Do you think the green is too "holiday"? I'd want to be able to wear it for more than just holiday parties!

Also, has anyone seen it IRL? The colors on the Nordstrom's and Bloomingdale's websites look totally different.

Haven't seen it, but I love it if the color is more like the Nordies site. Looks more like a neon/sour green than a Christmas green to me.

I really love it. I have not seen it IRL, but I see what you mean about the different shades between the two sites. I prefer the way it looks on the Bloomingdales' site, less "holiday" to my eye. But I love the way the bottom portion is in black so it looks like a cropped jacket when worn with black bottoms. And I've been really into the lace overlay lately. Good thing I'm on SYC. I just saw Rae's comment and our monitors must be reading differently - I swear mine looks more sour on the Bloomingdales' site!

I love it! I think the black panel keeps it from being too holiday'ish, also - it's (possibly) a jewel tone, so while it might seem Christmasy in December, before and after it'll just be a bold gorgeous jacket. I like that it's 'cropped but not,' you get the best of both worlds. It does seem a bit pricey though - even if you got it half off. Would this be a long term piece for you?

** I'm inclined to trust the images on Nordstroms over Bloomies, but I totally dig both versions of the colour **

I don't think it will read holiday once we get away from the holidays. It all depends on how you style it too.

It is very pretty .... and festive. I agree that certain greens, esp. in a dressy fabrication like this with the lace overlay can look a bit more "holiday" than every day. I guess it depends on your budget and how much you think you can wear it.

I would never think of this as Holiday-wearable only. It's lovely, unique and probably quite easy to dress down with boots and jeans/pants!

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I'm glad that it's not reading as too holiday. I will keep my eye on this, but it would have to go to at least 50% off before I could really consider it. I love my other (several years old) Nanette Lepore jacket.

It does say holiday to me, but I guess I'm in the minority :). Strange that the colour reads so differently on the 2 sites.

To me it seems a little bit holiday-ish. Not sure if I can see you wearing this; doesn't seem like your style...but maybe I am off-base! Obviously you would know your style direction better than I would :).
