I love the colors and the print... I'm not sure about that ruffle on the bottom though. I'm really not a ruffle kind of person.

This may be a personal thing, but I'm really not digging that green sleeve. It looks imbalanced to me. I wonder if that's why she's carrying the green clutch in the other hand on the side.

I really like the shape of the tunic and I love ruffles personally. It looks comfortable and I even like the color and print (I've been impressed with Ann Taylor's large floral prints this season--very graphic and still clean looking). What's up with the one green sleeve, though? Do you think all of the shirts are like this, or the print moves around, so that one shirt happened to have a green sleeve?

I was in AT the other day, I was not even going to go in ... but I saw this green and I had to make a beeline to it. I picked up this top:

Just love this color; brings out the green in my eyes!! I skipped over the prints though because I've kinda OD'd on prints lately.

There's also a ruffle around the neckline of that tunic, so if you're not a ruffle person, maybe try the print sweater instead? It's gorgeous.

That top is probably not ideal for Nicole. I think the neckline might be too high and the ruffles will draw a lot of attention to the shoulder. It looks perfect for you though Shiny.

I wonder if the first top is just a quirk and a different top might have another pattern. Everything else about it is very pretty but I find that one sleeve really bothersome.

Hmm I was so worried and focused on that bottom ruffle that I didn't notice the sleeve. I don't think it's a one time flaw, I think it's designed to have one green sleeve. The rest of the fabric does not have any solid green, so it wouldn't make sense that one area of the bolt of fabric had that much green and that just happened to be the sleeve. I'm also worried about the gathering around the neck on me. Too bad...I absolutely LOVE the color. I love that shade of green and the white would make it wearable for me.

Hard to tell. I’ve just zoomed in. I am undecided about the sleeve situation. Could be an all over, or placement print. I have not seen this style in stores yet. I’m curious.

I have a feeling that the gathering around the neck could work. Sort of like your brown V neck T-shirt that gathers around the V. Your new Esprit blouse does the same right? It's constant experimentation with tops!

Shiny I love the one you showed! ( can you tell that we have the same taste? I'd pick the black though since I have black eyes and black hair. Is it short enough to go with skirts?

Nicole I like the one you picked but you might want to try it on to see if you like or not. Sometimes it's so hard to tell by looking at the pictures online. One trick I tried before was to cut the head from my picture and place it on their picture to see how I feel, but that requires a photo editor and lots of time, I don't do that any more.

I just took a closer look, and it appears BOTH sleeves are in a reverse pattern, i.e., more green than white. I kinda like that.

Julia - yes it is short enough for skirts.

I agree Julia, I'd definately need to try it on. I'm undecided on the sleeve too--I don't mind the way it looks on the model, but I'm afraid it will give me a line-backer appearance.

Angie, yes it is very similar to the Esprit top (which I love). The Exprit top has some gathering around the neck, but then it leads into a band of smocking. I've worn that top with a black pencil skirt and a shrunken black cardi, sheer black hose and pumps (to a wake) and it looked really nice. I'm dying to get some white pants to do the same thing (with a white cardi) for a more summery look. I'm thinking about getting the BR Trouser style white jeans. $88 is a bit pricy for me, but if they are all that and a bag of chips, it's worth it.

Like the sound of the Esprit - top outfit! Classic and Funky. Have you tried the BR troser jeans? They could look fab. Just for the record, I have a pair of white David Kahn jeans that I have had for years and they still look fab and I wear them every season. It’s worth it. If the BR ones don’t work out, there are plenty more to choose from. Go for it! I WANT to see you in white jeans!
