what do you think of this blazer?

I missed out on the one-button Vince Camuto blazer in turquoise and wonder if this would make a decent substitution. What do you think? Does it have potential? Would this shape maybe work on a 5'1" IT if it's a petite size?

Is it too hard to tell since it isn't shown on a body? Or does everyone hate it and they are uncomfortable telling me that? LOL

I would say it really needs to be on a person to see how it works. I like the colour, and I like that it fastens with one button.

Something about the lapel makes it look like a cross between a blazer and an outdoor coat (maybe the notches?). But I think the only way to tell is to see it on a body. Where is it from?

It's from Coldwater Creek. I've had mixed success with them, but their clothes are good at making it look like I actually have a waist which takes talent.

I like it. Will this be a casual blazer? The reason I asked is that patch pockets and the edgestitching always give me a more informal style.

Yes, I tried that one in gray. I really wanted to like it but it made me look duck-like. I think you need a very defined waist for it to work well. Instead of laying against my hips, it flared out in a weird way.

The color is lovely. I like the princess seaming in it. As an IT, the pockets might help give some width over the hips.

Without seeing it on, it is hard to tell. Do they have free shipping? Can you get to a store to try it on?

Yes, I'm a casual MOTG so it doesn't need to look super dressy.

I would have to order online. The nearest brick and mortar stores are hours away. It's the story of my life with shopping.

I like it a lot but it is dificult to judge without you wearing it.
I like the way the patch pockets might balance your shoulders(you were talking about your it shape and coats the other day).
I would definitely try it.

I would try it on and see how it looks. I can't tell but does it have a slit in the back? It is a lovely colour, it can be pair with so many other colours.

It does not have a slit, which is a bit surprising to me. I would expect it to by looking at the front.

That's a nice jacket. I agree about CC being hit and miss with their sizing, but the quality of their clothing is good and they have excellent customer service and a great return policy. You can't go wrong, especially if you catch one of their sales. I've ordered a few jackets from them in the last few months.

Brenda -- I noticed this online, too. If I remember correctly, it's a nicely weighted crepe, which I would love. The color is fab -- but it's all in the fit!
