I was out shopping with my mom today, and came across these:

...which I think are more than a little awesome, although I've never owned anything quite like them before. My mom really liked them too, and urged me to try them on, and in the end bought them for me for my upcoming birthday, which was lovely of her. They do sort of fill a wardrobe hole, too, since in the way of sandals my choices are either Reef flip flops, clunky Dr. Martens fisherman sandals or dressy black sandals with tiny straps. These seem like they could either be dressed up or dressed down, and they're wedges, which makes them easy to walk in. But I'm not normally a wedge sort of person. What do you think? Are they awesome, or a bit too blingy? Does anyone have any experience with the Sam Edelman brand? There got good reviews on Zappos. Are they likely to be comfy after a day of walking?
